“Mesomeso, mesomeso… You there, won't you listen to my pitiful story?”
From Japanese game developer 07th Expansion, creators of Higurashi When They Cry, Umineko no Naku Koro ni and Rose Guns Days, comes author Ryukishi07's scariest tale yet.
Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni is a sound novel set in an elementary school haunted by a group of seven youkai (spirits) who feed off of the souls of bullied children.
One such child, Marie Moriya, is struggling with the psychological turmoil of being repeatedly abused by her own teacher, and lives each day in misery. That is until she encounters the mischievous youkai Higanbana, who offers her a chance at revenge.
Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni is a horror story that examines the boundary between life and death. It is divided into two parts: The First Night and The Second Night, which are sold separately.
Spider Lily Translations is a group of fans from across the planet, working together to bring Higanbana no Saku Yoru ni to the English-speaking world. Having received permission from the original developers, we started work on our translation soon after The First Night's original release in August 2011. The project was completed in February 2014, with the release of the English patch for The Second Night.
Our translation patches are available to download for free from our homepage. However, they can only be used with a legitimate copy of the original Japanese software, which is available to purchase as a digital download.
